我国将增设两条新的地铁线，现有的三条地铁线也将加长。工程完成后，每10户家庭中，就有8户家庭只需步行不超过10分钟，就到达地铁站。
新的地铁线包括一条从樟宜往西横跨整个新加坡到裕廊工业区的跨岛线，途经西海岸、武吉知马、宏茂桥、榜鹅和白沙等。估计2030年前建成。另一条新地铁线是裕廊区域线，途经裕廊西、裕廊工业区、西海岸、蔡厝港，以及未来新发展的登加组屋区，并会衔接到南洋理工大学的校门前，预计2025年完工。～新闻室（图/陆交局）New MRT lines to push up housing prices80 percent of Singapore’s population will live within a 10-minute walk of an MRT station by 2030.
Two new MRT Lines were unveiled today – the Cross Island Line (CRL) and the Jurong Region Line (JRL) – in addition to the extension of three existing lines that will increase the rail network stretch to 360 km, compared to the current 178 km.These plans were announced by Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew following a review of the Land Transport Master Plan by the Land Transport Authority (LTA). The 50 km CRL is expected to be completed by 2030 and will connect to all existing lines, running from Jurong Industrial Estate through areas like West Coast, Bukit Timah, Ang Mo Kio, Punggol and Pasir Ris before ending in Changi.The JRL will likely be completed by 2025.
