Sorry, hope you don’t mind me saying that I have a slight disagreement with your suggestion of the term “crush”. My understanding is that “crush” just implies infatuation, or an impulsive liking for someone, without any connotation of it being done in secret. The sentence “I have a crush on her” just describes my feelings, and it has no implications as to whether my feelings are kept secret or that it has been expressed openly.

yup, agree. Admire secretly, secret-admirer, secret-lover….
Sometimes ppl also say, un-returned love means ‘单恋’, correct?
