申请EP&SP之前到底要不要取消学生准证，现在一个人一个说法，而且都十分肯定，下面是引用两位网友的回答

不需要重新申请一次学生准证，以前的仍然有效，证据就是下面的人力部给我回的电子邮件

I refer to your email dated 23 October 2005.
When the employer submit a Work Pass application for the Student Pass holder to the Work Pass Division for consideration, the Student Pass holder is not required to cancel his/her Student Pass pending the processing of the Work Pass application. However, the Student Pass holder is required to cancel the existing Student Pass with the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) upon successful approval of the Work Pass application. In the event if the Work Pass application is unsuccessful, the foreign student still hold on to a valid Student Pass.

我之前也以为不要CANCEL的,然后报读了ACCA,以为这样万一批不下来还不至于回国. 但我上个月亲自跑到ICA问,他们说必须先CANCEL.要不然MOM CHECK到你还是学生一定不会批你的. 我同学申请的时候打电话给MOM,也是说要CANCEL. 或许不CANCEL是可以, 但这可能给MOM一个拒签的理由.
我现在真的晕了,请有拿学生准证的成功申请到工作准证的人进来给给大家一个肯定的答案,谢谢
我是从私利学生证转到sp and pr, 学生证是在拿到mom, sp 的批准后，在mom办理sp时候在china town 那边把学生证交上去的割的。

听说以前申请workpass必须先割studentpass, 后来才不用先割的…. 大概是这样才有2种说法吧….
