答案（4）看起来正确，但严格来说seed leaves provide food for the seedling （或embryo）， developing seed这个说法不太准确和严谨。
谢谢！我又查了课本（MY PALS），在19页，它说到：When leaves develop, the young plant starts making its own food……. As the young plant grows into an adult plant, more leaves develop to help make food. 所以感觉（2）也不那么对。

不过小学的科学题确实是比较刁钻，小学的科学教材也有矛盾的地方，如My Pal plants and their parts P29, “Some roots store food for the plant”, P33的 At a glance里又说 Roots which store food for the plant.

很多国家把plant的life cycle分为4个阶段, 即seed，seedling， young adult plant和adult plant. Young adult plant和adult plant的区别就在于前者get food from seed leave, 而后者通过光合作用来获取能量。新加坡的这种3-stage life cycle说法比较独特，让我完全搞不清young plant stage结束的标志是什么！
