It never fails to grief me upon the demise of somebody close. However, the disturbing animosity I had with my father was the reason why it is peculiar that I still feel the pain today when he succumbed to cancer 3 years ago. Since childhood, I never understood what it meant by paternal love. He subjects me to his relentless verbal and quite often physical abuse. Therefore, I somehow thought I would be delighted to see him die.当一个与我亲密的人死的时候，我都会伤心。我到现在还在伤心我爸爸在3年前因癌症去世是件奇怪的事情，因为我和他有很大的仇恨。自从小时候，我都不明白什么叫做父爱。他经常对我乱辱骂，拳打脚踢。所以我似乎觉得我会很高兴看到他死掉。
But when I saw him lying in hospice breathing his last moments, a sense of loss overwhelmed my accumulated anger. He is nonetheless still my father. During the final week before his demise, I saw how the nurses did all they could to alleviate his agony derived from the deadly cancer. Including the parts I will never do even as a son was completed by the nurses on duty.当我看到他在绝症病院躺着过着最后的时候，失落的感觉却笼罩过我的集体愤怒。他终究还是我爸爸。在他过世的前一周，我看见护士们作我生为儿子都不做的事情来减轻他的痛苦。
Apart from the usual routine, they showed my father some warmth. The very one he was forfeited of when he resorted to domestic violence as means to lead the family he was supposed to love. As I witnessed how the nurses perform their duties diligently, I cannot help it but be reminded of my past encounters with nurses. Professionally and romantically.除了一般工作的程序，他们也给我爸爸温暖。那个由于他对自己应该照顾的家庭而使用家庭暴力就被自己剥削掉的。当我看着护士们勤奋的作她们的工作时，我不尽想起过去我的护士缘。专业的也包括浪漫的。
I was rather mutinous since I was a child partly attributed to the abuse. I was often caught in compromising situations that were sometimes life threatening. Warded several times while I stubbornly persisted my wayward behavior of riding a motorcycle. And many times, I’d be left in bandages kindly rendered by the healthcare workers who attended to me. It wasn’t long before I became fascinated by the girls who don the nurses uniforms.我从小也大凯因为家庭暴力而都比较叛逆。经常闯入一些危险的祸，甚至有些还是有生命危险的。我顽固的坚持那野蛮霸道的骑车方法入院几次。很多次我都会被医疗人员包扎伤口。很快的，我也对白衣天使的女孩子感到兴趣。
There was a time when I had an infection in my surgery wound serious enough to be incarcerated by my doctor for 4 days. Given my wild character, hours passed like days during that period as I tried to find something to retain my sanity. It wasn’t long before I noticed a pretty lass in a white uniform serving the patients next door.有一次，由于开刀伤口受感染，严重到可以被医生关4天。以当时的野性，度日如年。我也想办法找点东西来保住我不要发神精。没多久，我留意到有一位漂亮白衣天使姑娘在照顾隔壁病人。
但愿我们无愧于天使的称号……

It did not occur to me that by approaching this young nurse on internship could generate so much publicity. It did not dawn upon me that her colleagues would’ve cheered and teased us so much when I walked towards her as she was approaching the lift when she was knocking off.
没有想到，我接近这个年轻的护士实习生会带来这么多的宣传。当她正走向电梯结束一天的工作的时候我走向她，我也没有想到她的同事会那么欢呼和取笑我们。
I waved to her and she responded professionally which I believe I have the patient’s attire to thank. Of course, I asked for her name and her mobile phone number when she was close enough. My efforts to keep my advances low profile were apparently futile as her colleagues started to chaff.
我向她挥手，她专业的回应，我相信我因为我穿着病人的服饰。当然，她够靠近时候我要求了她的名字和她的手机号码。我努力保持我的举动低调但是没有用因为她的同事开始取笑我们。
She gave me her number spontaneously and bade me farewell promising to return the next morning. I returned to my bed much to the triumphant congratulations from the other nurses and some other patients hanging around the lift lobby.
她很爽快给我她的电话号码，告别，答应第二天早晨返回。我回到床位被其他护士和坐在电梯大堂的病人表示胜利的祝贺。
The next day onwards, our conversations were filled with cheerful banters. Her presence alleviated the frustrations of my dreadful imprisonment in the hospital. I look forward to seeing her come by during her break time in order to indulge me in another series of light hearted conversation.
第二天起，我们的对话充满了快乐谐谑语言。她的存在缓解我在医院的可怕监禁的难受感觉。我期待着见到她在每个休息时间过来让我又在沉醉于开心的交谈。
The doctor finally succumbed to my pleas and decided to release me from my ward on the 5th day. While I was packing my personal belongings, the young nurse came forth and asked me to maintain in contact after my discharge. Naturally, I obliged and made it a point to pick her up that very day with my motorcycle.
医生终于屈服于我的请求，并决定在第5日让我从病房出院。我包装我的个人用品时候，年轻的护士来和我说要保持联系。很自然，我同意了。甚至在当天坐摩托车回来接她下班。

第三集
We met up with staggering frequency. I was often mistaken to be her boyfriend
by her colleagues and patients. Our meet ups were mainly for dinner and
occasionally a movie.
我们的见面次数变得非常多。我经常被她的同事和病人误会是她的男朋友。我们的
见面都是主要在吃晚饭和有时候看场电影。
It was never our intentions to commence any form of intimacy. Even the slightest
contact was withdrawn with much embarrassment. However our platonic friendship
gradually transcended into something more passionate.
我们从来都没有开始到任何亲密行动。就算轻微的触碰都会很害羞的收回去。但是
我们纯粹的友谊渐渐变成更加[关键词屏蔽]的。
Her internship ended and school resumed classes. Of course, my new found
female friend returned to NYP. It was on the first day of her lessons when
I decided to meet her somewhere in school. She rode on the back my motorcycle
well used to the ergonomics of a sports oriented machine. We rode off to
the nearby Yishun dam just to kill time.
她的实习期结束也回到南阳理工学院上课。就在她上课的第一天，我决定到她的学
校接她。她已经很熟悉我的摩托车的身形坐上来。我们骑车到附近的义顺水坝打发
时间。
While sitting at the edge of the road along the stretch of the dam, another
couple pulled up somewhere further down at the opposite direction. A middle
aged man alighted to open the door for his female companion who looked as
old as the man.
坐在沿着水坝的马路旁边的时候，有另外一对情侣把车停在对面的上一点。一个中
年男人下车帮忙他的同龄的女伴开门。
We soon realised that the couple was there to enjoy the romantically breath-taking
spectacle of the sunset.
我们很快意识到那对情侣是来观看浪漫的夕阳。
They held their hands and started to stroll towards our direction along
the stretch and the intern nurse said,”I wonder if I will find a man who
will walk this stretch with me to watch the sunset when I am old.”
他们牵着手慢慢走向我们的方向然后实习生护士便说”我想不懂以后有没有一个男人
会在我老了之后跟我一起看夕阳。”
I pondered briefly and shifted myself close enough to her before stretching
my arm across her shoulder, “Maybe if we give it a try, I might be that
man.”
我想了一下把身体靠近她足够时，把手臂伸到她的肩膀说”如果我们试试，我可能可
以作那个男人。”

第四集
Our relationship would’ve been lasting if her father wasn’t violently against his daughter riding on a motorcycle. Incensed, he yelled at me for leading his daughter astray when he saw me sending my girlfriend home one day.如果她的爸爸不是极力反对女儿是骑摩托车，我们的感情可能会维持的更久。很生气，有一次很大声对我大喊因为他看到我送他女儿回家。
Evasion was the only sound reaction I could think of. Apologetically, I left the void deck and headed home. She sent me an SMS apologizing for her father’s outburst citing his disapproval because of her brother who killed himself while riding a motorcycle.退避是唯一我能够想到的最好反应，很抱歉地我离开租屋楼下返回家了。她传了简讯为父亲的打发雷霆道歉。并且告诉我他的反对是因为她有个哥哥骑车以外死了。
Having empathy for those who lost loved ones especially through such an ordeal was somewhat a characteristic people can take for granted from me. Naive and filled with unrealistic hopes, I thought we could work out somehow.别人可以理所当然的对我的可以感受别人的痛苦的性格。天真，充满不现实的期望，我以为，我们会行得通。
Despite my commitment to convert to public transport whenever I meet my girlfriend, having seen me once, her father never failed to be reminded that I was the motorcyclist boyfriend he dreaded.虽然我改去在约会是搭公共交通，但是因为见过我一次，她的爸爸从来都不忘记我就是那个他讨厌的‘摩托车男朋友’。
真情流露，好像真实故事。和父亲的关系，成长环境，以及和白衣天使的懵懂爱情。
不过故事还没有完，待续吗？

第5集
The short lived relationship was poignant. She eventually succumbed to her
father’s consistent pressure and suggested breaking up. I wasn’t really
caught by surprise but still her largely anticipated move left me speechless.
短暂的感情十分令我感触很多。她最后被父亲的压力压到放弃终于提出分手。我虽
然没有被她的很可能的举动惊讶，却让我无话可说。
Nonetheless, we were merely ‘trying out’.
不管怎样，我们只不过是在尝试。
I recall the day she raised the issue of putting an end to our relationship
as being one of the first of my epiphany that archaic feudal mentalities
still exist in our modern day republic.
我记得她提出分手那天是我觉悟到现代民国也有封建思想。
As tears started to well up my eyes, I asked her if it is so important for
me to own a car?
当眼泪出来时，我问她，难道拥有车是那么重要吗?
“Yes.” was all that she said. Apparently, her father wasn’t only against
his daughter going out with a motorcyclist. Her father was looking for a
person who has more substantial wealth and career stability. And having
a car is a very positive sign to him of such possession.
她只是说了”是”。显然，她的父亲不只是反对女儿跟骑摩托车的男人来往，而是找
一个有钱有势的男人。而拥有车对他而言是拥有这些品质的象征。
Broken and dejected, nowhere to seek solace, I recall plunging into deep
depression questioning why status has become a very important factor in
order to enjoy love? Shouldn’t love precedes the rest as the determining
factor to securing a relationship?
破碎又伤心，没有地方能够倾诉，我记得掉如严重伤心。问问为什么身世在享受爱
情时候是那么重要?难道爱情不能在得到感情里比任何都重要吗?
可以谅解一个父亲对女儿幸福生活的期许，记得看李光耀先生回忆录中，也有提到，当年，岳母看到他用脚车载太太时的反应也是惊讶，并反对的。庆幸的是，他当年有能力买了自己的车。
但是，做为男女主角，如果是真爱，应该是无条件的。
应该是缘分不到。
有车子的人，不一定具有高尚品格，但至少表示，他有一定的经济能力给他爱的人一个相对稳定的物质生活。真爱来了，其实，感情基础最重要。车子，以后还会再有，但是，感情很难从没有到有。
相信，更好的，在等着你。祝福你！
在今天这个物欲横流的社会里，金钱观和权力观俨然成为人类的爱情首选，也许正是因为这样，很多人不敢选择甚至否定了真爱。看了我们80后的鸭梨真的很大啊！独生子女不仅要面对物价上涨的压力，而且还要承担起赡养父母的义务。我们的爱情真的伤不起呀！

爱过了，痛过了，对爱的期许也就没那么强烈了，变的有一点点小心，有一点点淡漠
但我坚信，总有那么一个对的人，在那么一个地方等待着

第1集
During the transition of my military career to a civilian one, I had difficulty coping with the new found lifestyle. Especially the freedom which I never enjoyed during my life in the army. It was during this time when I got to meet a very old friend who served in the same unit as I did. One thing he did right was to leave the force while he could. And having completed his medical degree in dentistry, he became an accomplished dentist having his own clinic. Being old military friends, our conversation does not have to be a modest one. Cracking jokes about female anatomy was part and parcel.
我在离开武装部队到私人企业工作的时候，有问题适应。尤其是我的新的自由，从来没有在当军人的时候享受过的自由。就在这个时候我遇见了一位久别从逢的军队老友。他因为早退而去考了牙科的大学文凭，现在成了一位很成功的牙科医生拥有自己的诊所。生为旧兵营同事我们的对话非常不客气，经常会讲到女性生殖器官。
We could’ve spent more time together if his wife wasn’t too restrictive with his movements. Therefore forcefully asking my brethren out will be bordering on impertinence towards the requirements of his matrimonial union. So I decided to choose meeting him during lunch instead of after work.
要不是他的妻子对他的行动管制很严，我们就可以花更多时间在一起。所以硬要求我的兄弟出来是对他的婚姻无礼。所以我决定选择了午餐时间见面而不是放工后见面。
I came to his clinic one fine day and saw a lady whom I have never met before serving at the counter. Bespectacled, donning very mild make up and dressed in a modest looking blouse coupled with a long skirt down to her knees, anyone could’ve easily mistaken her for an old maid.
有一天，我来到他的诊所看见一位从来没有见过的女子在柜台工作。带着眼睛，化妆很清淡，穿着很普通的衣服跟盖到膝盖的长裙，一般人都会以为她是老处女。
“Hi, can I help you?” she asked.
“I’ve never seen you here,” I replied, “are you new?” I was certainly asking the obvious.
“Yes, I just started work today.” the nurse at the counter replied again, “What can I do for you today?”
“嗨!你好，我能帮你吗?”她问我。
“我从来没有看过你在这里工作过，你是新来的吗?”我问一个很明显的笨题。
“是的，今天我刚刚开工，我今天能够帮你什么吗?”
I pondered for a while and replied, “I have an appointment with Dr Kevin, you know… not the official type… sort of… private.”
我想了一会便说，”我有一个约会跟科医生，你知道的，不是那种公事，是私事。”

“I’m sorry but Dr Kevin is currently occupied at the moment, if you don’t
mind, would you like to wait while he serves his last patient before lunch
or would you prefer to leave him a message?” This lady was unmistakably
refined. Her elegance absolutely struck me even though she didn’t really
bother to gild herself with sufficient cosmetics.
“我很抱歉，但凯文医生目前忙着，如果你不 介意，你想他招呼完他午饭前的最后
一个病人 或你愿意给他留个口信吗？” 这位女士是无误 素质十分高雅。即使她真
的没有 麻烦自己有足够的化妆品，她的优雅绝对打动我。
“Perhaps I will wait here for him.” I replied astonished with the tremendous
luck my old friend has for employing people.
“也许我会等待在这里。” 我回答说具有极大的惊讶 我的老朋友了竟然有这种大的
运气请人。
I turned to sit at the chair for a brief moment before I thought I should
do something to get myself acquainted to this marvellous lady at the counter.
Getting up from the chair in the waiting area, I approached her and asked,
“Hi, I cannot help it but feel absolutely curious how did my friend possess
so much luck to have you employed under his payroll down here?”
我转过一小段时间之前我以为我应该坐在椅子上 想办法让自己了解了这位了不起的
女士。 在等待区椅子上起身，接近她并问： “嗨，我情不自禁觉得好奇为什么我的
朋友有如此幸运能够雇用到你呢？”
She smiled and and then said, “I am Evelyn, I graduated from NYP couple
of years ago and got to know Dr Kevin’s missus when she was warded in the
hospital I worked at previously.”
她笑了笑，接着说，”我是伊芙琳，毕业南洋理工 多年前，后来在以前工作的医院
里认识了凯文医生的太太。”
I immediately recalled that Kevin did mentioned to me about his wife’s car
accident 3 to 4 years ago that almost left her maimed. She used to be notorious
for her reckless driving habits and that accident finally helped her gain
the much anticipated epiphany that she was probably better off with the
public transport.
我立即想到凯文有提到妻子的汽车事故几乎使她致残的大凯 3 到 4 年前。她过去
是臭名昭著 她不计后果的驾驶习惯而那次事故终于帮助她获得备受期待顿悟: 她很
可能更适合使用公共交通工具。
“Was that the Singapore General Hospital?” I made a very wild guess and
thought I could be lucky given the limited number of medical institutions
available in Singapore. It turned out that I was wrong. She was warded into
Alexandra hospital instead.
“是不是新加坡中央医院呢？”我做了个十分荒凉的猜测和以为自己能幸运猜到因为
在新加坡数目有限的医疗机构。事实证明我错了。她被送入 亚历山大医院。
“So… you worked in Alexandra hospital… which department do you work
at?” Evelyn giggled a little somehow confirming that I had more intentions
than to wait for my friend to finish his work. She told me she worked in
a department with a very complicated name of very profound medical nature
best left out of my memory just in case it depletes too much of my memory
bank.
“这么说 你在工作亚历山大医院工作过，你工作哪个部门？”伊夫林 乐了一点某种
程度上证实了我比要等待我的朋友来完成他的工作有更多的意图。她告诉我她在工
作 一个部门有一个非常复杂的名称很深奥的医疗性质的。为了不要消耗太多的记忆
所以最好最好不要存入我的记忆。
We continued to chat and keep ourselves entertained with each other since
the absence of patients mean that our jovial conversation will be replaced
with awkward silence.
既然没有病人我们继续聊天和保持我们快活的谈话不然会被尴尬的沉默替换。
Amidst our laughter, the doorknob to Kevin’s dental surgery room clicked
untimely and from the room emerged a young lad probably in his late teens.
The boy thanked the doctor and left the the clinic without paying. Apparently,
one of his family member had already paid on his behalf.
我们的笑声之中，凯文的牙科手术房门把手有了声音，从房间里有十几岁的少年走
出了。 这个男孩感谢医生和离开诊所，而无需付费。很明显， 他的家庭成员之一
已经代他付钱。
“Oh hi, I see you met Evelyn,” Kevin said. Since the 2 of you are already
acquainted with each other I see no need for further introduction but a
lunch together will be priority for you two to get to know each other better.
凯文说：”嗨，我看见你见过伊芙琳，”。既然你 2 已 互相认识，没有必要进一步
介绍但一起吃午餐是必要的来帮你们更了解互相。

Lunch was customary. Evelyn and myself both enjoyed each other’s company despite Kevin’s presence. Our conversation were mostly light hearted but occasionally we touched on serious topics like the recent election whereby the ruling party won almost all the seats except 2.午餐是和平常一样很传统性。伊芙琳和我自己都喜欢对方的陪伴 尽管凯文的存在。我们的谈话也大多很轻，但是偶尔 我们接触到严重的主题，好像最近的选举问题，使这执政党赢得了几乎所有的议席 除了2个以外。 “But I think I like the idea of having Sylvia Lim in the parliament.” Evelyn said, “she seems like a very inspiring character. Our country needs more women like her.” Sylvia is a high calibre representative from the Workers’ Party. She narrowly lost the election possibly due to the dirty politics played by the PAP by picking on some possibly honest mistake made by one of the Workers’ Party’s member of ethnic minority representative. I was quite an avid supporter of the Worker’s Party that time and really believed that they can help to contribute very positively to the incumbent prime minister who merely took over the reins 2 years ago.”但我想我喜欢Sylvia Lim在国会中”。伊夫林说：”她好像非常令人振奋。我们的国家需要更多像她的人。Sylvia Lim是工人的优秀代表。她以微弱差距败选，可能是由于PAP对肮脏的政治竞选而失败 了。PAP采用了肮脏政治特别刁难那个少数族裔代表的工人党的成员。我是相当 热心的工人支持者。当时我真的相信， 他们可以帮助 2 年前接管了国家的现任总理作出贡献。 “What’s with the sombre topic? We headed to a little cafe along Serangoon road with a peculiar name that goes like ‘The French Stall’. Looking rather rundown if you pass by in a car, you will realise that the place is rather charming inside. The ambience is lively and bustling with activities during dinner. The crowd is predominantly Caucasian or the local English speaking community.我们到了沿着实笼岗路的一间奇怪名字，叫‘法国档’的咖啡厅’。如果你开 车经过，会看相当破旧。你会意识到里面是相当迷人。氛围在吃晚饭的时候很活泼热闹。人群主要是 白人或本地讲英文的族群。
Evelyn and myself were ushered to a small table by the corner. We ordered simple signature dishes found in the promotional section of the menu. If I were not driving, I’d have lavishly indulged in a nice bottle of fine wine best known in this place with Evelyn.伊芙琳和我被带到一张角落的桌子。我们订了菜单的促销部分中找到的简单招牌菜。如果 我没有驾车，我会奢侈的叫一瓶在这个地方最有名的法国酒葡萄酒和伊芙琳一起享用。
We hardly seem to run out of conversation. Evidently, the two of us share a lot of similar interests from cars to politics and travelling.我们似乎很难没有谈话。很明显，我们两个有很多类似的兴趣例如从汽车到政治和旅行。
During our endless flow of topics, I came to a point whereby a poignant reminder of our fortunes to be born in a more privileged environment struck into our conversation. The sight of a woman reduced to skin and bones stretching her hand towards my car window while I was working in Manila remains disturbingly etched in my memory. The dreadful image resonates with Evelyn’s experience in another city similarly plagued by the same predicament. Widespread corruption within the government that adversely affected the lives of those whom they were suppose to protect. “Yes! I saw that too!” Evelyn exclaimed in absolute agreement, “the look on those kids were extremely disturbing.”我们滔滔不绝的主题期间，我来到一个点使到我很充满感觉的被提醒到我们是何等幸福出生在比较幸运的环境。那个时候看见一个皮包骨的女人伸手向着我的车窗在马尼拉工作的时候很令我不安的刻在记忆里。这个可怕的影像引起伊芙琳的经验的共鸣。她在另一个类似困扰同样的困境的城市同样感受。广泛的政府贪WU腐败，不利影响那些政府应该保护的生命。”是的 ！我也看到 ！”伊夫林 绝对同意，”那些孩子上的表情是极其令人担忧”。
Throughout our communication, Evelyn showed apparent vulnerability to children. I was able to feel her tremendous emotions whenever we spoke about poverty stricken children. “They are supposed to be studying in school and not working full time like slaves!” Evelyn assertively made her point clear.在我们的沟通，伊芙琳显示自己对儿童明显脆弱。每当我们谈到贫穷 灾区的孩子们， 我是可以感受到她极大的情感。”他们应该是在学校学习不是全时间像奴隶一样工作!”伊夫林 果断清楚的表示。

A dreadful silence interrupted our conversation for moments that suffice to render the both of us uneasy.足够让我们感到不舒服的安静打入了我们的对话。
“I’m divorced.” Evelyn feeling the awkward silence quickly explained the reason for her to have a son.”我离婚了。”伊芙琳感觉到不安连忙解释了她为何会有一个儿子。

“7 years.” Evelyn replied, “My son is 8 years old now. He’s autistic but he’s a very nice boy.””七年了。”伊芙琳回答，”我的儿子已经8岁了，虽然他是自闭症但是他是一个很好的孩子。”
Frankly speaking, it does not matter to me if the woman that I pursue is a divorcee or a widow so long she is of good character. But at this stage, I guess talking about developing a platonic relationship even though brought forth by infatuation is still very much premature.老是说，对我讲，我不管我追求的女人是离婚或者寡妇都无所谓，只要她的人品好。但是在这阶段谈论发展这个被突然感觉的普通关系还是很早。
Unfortunately, our evening concluded with the bill. Evelyn insisted on taking a taxi home even though I insistently told her that I should send her home. I tried to persuade her out of her stubbornness but her unyielding determination left me with no choice but to concede that I was unable to exercise the rights of a gentleman to send my lady back home after an outing.很不好，我们的夜晚随着账单结束。不管我如何坚持，伊芙琳还是坚持坐的士回家。我没办法说服她的坚持只好没办法让她不给我作以为绅士的本分载她回家。

In the ensuing days that followed, I hardly was able to perform at work. Consistently our conversations will surface out of no where in my mind depleting my concentration trying to decipher over and over again her messages and where I went wrong.
在跟着来的几天，我几乎没办法在工作上表现。我们之间的对话一直浮现在我的脑海挖空我的注意力让我一直重复想想她的话和我到底哪里做错了。
Without a conclusion, I decided to contact Evelyn again this time to ask her out. In order to ensure that she cannot avoid me and also to show some sense of sincerity, I decided to drop by Kevin’s clinic.
没有结论，我决定在此联络伊芙琳约她出来。为了确保她不能避开我和显示一些诚意，我决定到凯文的诊所走一趟。
When I arrived at Kevin’s clinic, I saw the counter empty and Kevin came to me telling me, “‘Something happened to her at home and she took urgent leave today.”
当我到了凯文的诊所，我发现柜台无人，凯文便走过来说，”她家里出事了，今天请紧急假期。”
Sensing something amiss I quickly asked him why and Kevin replied, “I heard her son went missing from school today. She took urgent leave to go and find her boy.”
我马上感觉不妙连忙问为什么，凯文便说，”我听说她的儿子今天上学不见了。她请假是去找儿子。”
“Do you have any information of her son?” I thought I might be able to help.
“你有没有她的儿子的资料?”我想可能我能帮上什么忙。
Kevin took the photograph found on Evelyn’s working desk and gave me the details of Evelyn’s son’s school for the autistic.
凯文拿了伊芙琳的办公桌上的照片还有给我她的儿子的自闭症的学校。
Immediately after that, I called my superior and told him that I have a matter of utmost urgency that requires my immediate attention and he granted me urgent leave after which I darted to the car park and drove off towards the school for the autistic.
马上接着，我联络我的上司通知他我有一件十分紧急的事情需要我马上处理，他便批了我的紧急假期。之后我马上彪到停车场拿车开往自闭症的学校。

It didn’t took me too long to reach the school for the autistic. But it was already after school hours by the time I arrived. I approached the gate keeper and and asked if enquired of the boy in the picture Kevin passed to me.
我没有过多久便到了自闭症儿童学校。但是已经放学了。我走向看门员查询照片中的男孩子。
The school cleaner pointed to the school hall inside and explained that the boy just dashed in a while ago when he was sweeping the car parks.
那位校夫指着大堂解释那个小男孩在他扫停车场时候冲了进去。
I approached the boy and true enough he is the boy in the picture.
我走向那位小男孩发现他就是照片中的男孩。
“Hi, how are you?” I greeted him as he raised his head and stared at me blankly. He was
obviously crying previously.
“你好吗?”我对他打招呼然后他举头没有神色的看着我。他肯定之前在哭。
I squatted down and passed him a piece of tissue paper to wipe his tears. He didn’t take my offer but started to ransack his school bag. Very apparently, he seems to have lost something.
我蹲下给她一张纸巾擦干眼泪可是他没有接受我的纸巾但是开始翻书包。很明显他好像不见了东西。
“I think he lost his school fees. I heard the teacher talking this morning.” said the school cleaner as he walked towards me.
“我想他不见了学费。我听到他的老师今天早上有讲。”校夫走来告诉我。
Hearing that, I told the boy, “Don’t worry about that, let me deal with it.”
听了以后，我告诉男孩，”不要担心，让我处理。”
Seeing lights from the window, I walked towards the school office intending to check if the boy paid for his school fees. But before I could enter, a man dashed out of the staff room and yelled, “Bryan?! where did you go?! Do you know your mother has been looking everywhere for you?!”
看到窗口有灯，我走向学校大楼打算看看是否男孩没有交学费。但是我能够进去之前，有个男人从教师办公室冲出来， “布莱恩!你去了哪里?!你知不知道你的妈妈在到处找你吗?!”
It turns out that this man was his teacher. I spoke to the teacher and came to understand that Bryan turned up for school this morning but disappeared before his tea break. Very probably because he misplaced the school fees his mother passed to him this morning. I discussed with his teacher regarding the cost of the school fees and went to the nearest ATM while ensuring the teacher took custody of Bryan in case he runs away again. I returned and paid for his school fees before handing the receipt to Bryan.
这个男人是他的老师。我和老师交谈才明白布莱恩早上上学一半就在休息时间不见了。很可能因为不见了早上妈妈交给他的学费。我跟他的老师商量学费之后便去附近的提款机但是确保老师看管布莱恩以免他再跑掉。我回来还了前，把收据交给了布莱恩。
“Here, take this. Your mummy must be expecting you to hand this over to her.” I tried very much to conceal any sense of seriousness injecting as much light hearted expressions as possible. Bryan swiftly grabbed the receipt and stuffed it into his bag.
“拿去吧，你的妈妈一定是在要你交这个给她。我尽力掩饰所有可能的严肃脸住入轻松脸越多越好。布莱恩很快抢走收据塞进书包里。
