Put Off 有 repell 的意思。 Put Out 有 offend, irritate 的意思， put down 有 humiliate 的意思。 这三个好像都可以用。 这个题应该出的再明确一点，通过上下文暗示出老师要的是哪个意思。
但是，假如题目明确暗示上述某个意思，娃或者咱们大人就能答得出吗？对我来说，不翻字典是木有戏滴，肯定答不出。
叫娃把这些意思背出来就成了吗？基本不成。太多了，肯定背乱了。唯一能指望的是他们平时多看书，阅读中在上下文的意思里，这些词组的意思就不辩自明了。他见的多了就能分辨了。
坡的重要考试中，像PSLE，基本不会出现这种极易混淆的词，也不会出现本题这样意思不够明朗的句子。这点，家长们可以稍感安慰。
